Shane Sawyer
Shane is adventurECO Cycling founder, lead cycling instructor, visionary, and self-imagined ‘last of the great polymaths.’ In reality, Shane is a geographer, active transportation professional, educator, and lifelong cyclist who enjoys a range of cycling disciplines – road, gravel, mountain biking, commuting, and occasional touring and / or bikepacking. Additionally, Shane is a League of American Bicyclists certified League Cycling Instructor (LCI # 3192) with many years of cycling instruction experience. Professionally, Shane is an active transportation professional with more than 20 years of experience in the field, as well as a longtime college geography instructor. In another lifetime, Shane was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania where a bicycle was his primary mode of transportation, recreation, and an integral part of daily life.
